Barry W. Fenstermacher, Headmaster

Barry Fenstermacher celebrated his 25th anniversary as headmaster of The Harvey School this year!  During his tenure, he has been an big supporter of the use of technology in the classroom.  It was through his vision that we began offering courses online during the summer and using some of that same technology in the traditional classrooms themselves.  The Harvey School uses SMART Boards, online textbooks, and online course ware.  Our teachers are always thinking of new ways to engage students using technology, but seek to retain the special connections that they have with their students.   Mr. Fenstermacher inspires the staff at Harvey to “think outside the box” when it comes to education.  He has encouraged Chris Kelly, one of our seasoned math teachers to allow an environment for students to learn at their own pace; thus, Mr. Kelly created the math lab, where he guides students while they learn using the Apex Learning math curricula.  This course has proven to be very successful and has helped many student get through their anxiety of math.
